Stygologia, 4 (3): 279-291 (1988)

ABSTRACT

Samples taken from freshwater interstitial habitats in southeastern New York yielded a new species of harpacticoid, Elaphoidella shawangunkensis and two new species of cyclopoid, Paracyclops smileyi and Acanthocyclops parvulus. These species are described and compared to known species. In addition, taxonomic notes or illustrations are given of several known species (Bryocamptus cuspidatus, Acanthocyclops venustoides, Diacyclops cf. languidus, D. nearcticus), an unidentified species of Bryocamptus, and three unidentified species of Parastenocaris.
