First record of Parastenocarididae (Crustacea, Copepoda, Harpacticoida) from subterranean waters of Ethiopia and the description of three new species

Three new species of Parastenocarididae, a new family for the Ethiopian fauna, are described and discussed. Parastenocaris aethiopica n.sp. was collected in the interstitial waters of Lake Langanno, in the Rift Valley; Parastenocaris quollensis n.sp. and Parastenocaris impervia n.sp., in the hyporheic waters of River Baro, near Gambela Town.
