| LIMNOCLETODES Borutzky, 1926
The genus Limnocletodes was created by Borutzky (1926) to accomodate the species Limnocletodes behningi from plankton of the lower Volga. The familial position of the genus has been recently discussed by Gee (1998) who concluded that "the genus probably occupies a primitive position in the family Cletodidae T. Scott, 1904 " (Gee, 1998).
