    PSEUDOSTENHELIA Wells, 1967

    The genus Pseudostenhelia, described by Wells (1967) to accomodate the species Pseudostenhelia prima from the littoral of the Inhaca Island (Mozambique), is one of the less diversified genus within the family Diosaccidae, including only the following three species:

  • Pseudostenhelia prima Wells, 1967 [Africa, Mozambique; marine coastal]
  • Pseudostenhelia secunda Wells, 1971 [India; rivers, lakes]
  • Pseudostenhelia wellsi Coull & Fleeger, 1977 [USA, Mexico; associated with Spartina alterniflora]
