PARANANNOPUS Sars, 1920 (nomen nudum)

At present 22 species of Paranannopus Lang, 1936, mainly from the deep sea, are described. The deepest reported location (Becker and Schriever 1979) is the Peru Trench (P. reductus and P. truncatus Becker and Schriever, 1979, from 6100m depth), which is also the only one known from the Pacific Ocean.
